Tanghalang Bayan Melbourne (TBM, People's Theatre Melbourne) is a Filipino community theatre organisation. TBM believes in cultural action - a process of empowering people through crystallising community experiences and learnings by means of performing arts and literature in contemporary alternative forms, thus rejecting the traditional practices and beliefs that people or the community are mere consumers of art.

Tanghalang Bayan Melbourne Inc.(TBM Inc.) is a Filipino community youth theatre company. The group was founded in July 1994 in the process of a performance called "Tambayang Pinoy Kundiman At Iba Pa" - a musical/concert performed at the Footscray Community Arts. A series of workshops and discussions, facilitated by a theatre practitioner newly arrived from the Philippines led to the formation of Tanghalang Bayan Melbourne and the formulation of its orientation and objectives. A large majority of the people who defined TBM's orientation were young Filipino-Australians.
