The Bertud Collection aims to celebrate and consolidate Filipino-Australian works of art into a calendar form. It will serve as a symbolic landmark of migrant artistic expression as we enter the new millenium.

In particular the project aims to:

1. Consolidate and merge the achievements of Filipino-Australian visual artist through the Bertud project and introduce their creative works in the wider Filipino and Australian community;

2. Promote the Filipino-Australian artist as a quintessential part of the general arts community in a multi-cultural Australia;

3. Inspire a growing number of existing and emerging visual artists to pursue and promote their artistic visions;

4. Organise a venue for the introduction and celebration of Filipino-Australian achievements in the field of arts and help facilitate interaction with other arts bodies and institutions at the launching of the project.
